Airlines that do allow pets in the cabin

A cabin ban is a policy limit, not a size limit, so no carrier changes it. Cathay Pacific’s own published route: Pets travel in the hold via Cathay Cargo's Cathay Live Animal service. From 1 September 2025 direct pet bookings are accepted only from an IPATA or ATA member, an IATA Accredited Freight Forwarder, or a holder of a valid IATA Live Animals Regulations training certificate

How to confirm your actual under-seat space

Cathay Pacific's number is its published maximum, not a guarantee for your exact seat. Before you buy or fly:

1. Check which aircraft operates your flight (in your booking or on a seat-map site).
2. Avoid bulkhead and exit rows — bulkheads have no under-seat storage and most airlines ban pets there — and check this airline's seat rules above.
3. Call Cathay Pacific to confirm under-seat dimensions for that aircraft, or
4. Choose a collapsible / flexible-height carrier that adapts to a tighter space.
